Inference Lesson Plan 6th Grade. Explain how a series of events concepts or steps in a procedure is connected within a text using language that pertains to time sequence and cause effect. Authors leave out certain details and students need to be able to pull out important information that is not specifically told.
In this lesson students draw on their prior knowledge and use the information from the text to make inferences. Write two observations and an inference for each piece of evidence. Call on several students to share their definitions of the word.
